About this Network Website Scanner
This tool helps you discover active devices on your local network by scanning IP addresses and testing their HTTP/HTTPS connectivity.
Features:
- IP Range Detection: Automatically find your network's gateway by scanning common private IP ranges (192.168.x.x, 172.16.x.x, 10.x.x.x)
- Network Scanning: Scan a custom range of IP addresses to discover active hosts
- Ports: Specifically for ports 80 and 443
- Detailed Error Information: See specific connection errors (timeouts, SSL issues, CORS blocks, connection refused)
- Detailed Error Information: New secure browsers tend to block this information, this is where the "CORS" issue comes into play.
- Auto-repeat Mode: Continuously monitor your network for changes
How to Use:
- Click one of the "Scan" buttons to detect your network range, or manually enter your network base
- Adjust the IP range and timeout if needed
- Click "Start Scan" to discover active devices
- View detailed information about each host including response codes and connection errors
Understanding Results:
- CORS policy blocked: server responded but browser blocked details
Note: This scanner runs entirely in your browser and uses browser security features. Some devices may not be detected due to CORS policies or firewall settings.
Note: If port 80 has a 302 (redirect) to port 443 and port 443 is closed, it may (sometimes) not show up in the scans, you can catch this in the console/network in your browser.
